SculpSure® 101: All of Your Questions Answered

SculpSure® 101: All of Your Questions Answered

While we can get a meal in minutes and glasses in an hour, getting rid of fat took a great deal of time and energy, until now. While this may seem too good to be true, new technology allows us to reduce your stubborn pockets of fat quickly, painlessly, and effortlessly in just a few treatment sessions with SculpSure®.

Here at Pure Skin Aesthetic & Laser Center, we’re equipped with this FDA-cleared technology to help our patients in Bismarck, North Dakota, tackle fat using laser energy.

If you’re curious to learn more about this noninvasive body contouring technique, we’ve pulled together the following primer to answer all of your questions about SculpSure.

How it works

To better understand how SculpSure works, it’s best to take a step back and look at how fat operates within your body. When you pass into adulthood, your body carries the same number of fat cells throughout your life, rarely changing in overall numbers. When you gain or lose weight, your existing fat cells increase or decrease in size, not in number.

Using SculpSure, we send laser energy through your skin, without harming the surface area, into your fat cells below. The energy heats up the cells, effectively destroying them. And once fat cells are destroyed, your body doesn’t regenerate new ones.

Where it works

SculpSure works in areas where diet and exercise have failed. If you’ve exhausted every fat-busting avenue, but you’re still left with areas that continue to bulge, SculpSure can target these stubborn pockets, reducing the fat cells by as much as 24%.

This technique is especially effective around your abdomen, your thighs, your buttocks, and your back. In fact, SculpSure is so safe that we can tackle almost every part of your body, including your upper arms and below your chin.

How long it takes

When you come in for your initial consultation, one of our team members sits down with you to review the areas you want to address. Once we get an idea of what your goals are, we come up with an appropriate treatment plan. Most of our patients undergo several SculpSure sessions for maximum effect. These sessions are spaced apart by several weeks to allow time for your body to process the dead cells.

How to prepare

One of the biggest advantages of the SculpSure system is that there’s no downtime associated with the procedure. While you’re here, we hook you up to the SculpSure equipment and you simply sit back and relax. But you shouldn’t get too relaxed because each session lasts only 25 minutes. After we’re done, you’re free to go about your day and resume your normal activities.

And the results are in

SculpSure works with your body to eliminate the fat, relying on your lymphatic system to process the destroyed cells and flush them out of your body. This process takes some time, but the wait is worth it. In 6-12 weeks after your final session, you should achieve the results you desire.

What SculpSure isn’t

SculpSure is a body contouring system that puts the final touches on your weight loss efforts. You should consider SculpSure as the bridge to your final goal, but not as a weight loss program. Once you get to within your target weight, SculpSure takes over and closes the distance.
